I’m back in Vancouver defrosting and Linda Griffith’s new play is up and running in Calgary now until early April. I’m proud of everyone’s work on it. Producing a new play is rarely easy, and this one is a provocative script, cracker jack cast, and an arresting design. There are reviews from Applause Meter, Calgary Sun, Calgary Herald, and ffwd weekly.
Few things I noticed in those reviews – they disagree wildly on the merits of the play, which is always a good sign. The critiques range from calling it “top notch” to “a mess.” As always that elusive truth must be somewhere in between. If you’re in Calgary in the next few weeks, please go – it’s a new play, it needs an audience and it needs to be talked about. Not to mention there are 3 other new plays to check out at the Festival.
