Spent the last couple of months mostly in Calgary, working on Games by Linda Griffiths. It’s a challenging new play that goes to unexpected places. The set is mainly inside a house, but because of the style of the show and the subject matter – specifically video games and family dynamics – the designer Scott Reid worked out a set that can be many locations, takes light and projections, and has a very contemporary feel. It also revolves. I snapped a shot a of the actual set on a video monitor under ghost light as I was leaving the theatre the other night, contrasted with the computer model.
