Vancouver Playhouse.

The news of the demise of the Playhouse was a shock. While there had been rumblings for as long as I can remember, when it actually happened, I couldn’t quite believe it. Add this to the fact I was in NYC – a place where theatre appears to be thriving – in fact, they are opening new venues – when the news came, and it all doesn’t seem quite real. Back in Vancouver, I’m still processing it, and not sure what to say, other than a city where this happens is not a city that I’m proud to be a part of.

For me, here are the most interesting takes on the subject. Funny enough, one comes from Toronto, one comes from NYC.
