Busy time around here. Spent 2 weeks in a hunting lodge in Perthshire with 6 other playwrights on a residency. Then a weekend in Edinburgh and a week in Glasgow. A lovely inspiring start to this season. Finally able to see Black Watch, a new David Harrower at Play, a Pie, and a Pint, and connect and re-connect with new and old comrades.
All thanks to the tireless folks at Playwrights Studio Scotland.
Currently part of the playwrights retreat at the Stratford Festival, another glorious place to be in the Fall. The Trolley Car started rehearsals yesterday, the Craigslist Cantata workshops next week, and then the start of Lucia rehearsals after that.
Right now everything is in my head, all the designs, all the performances, everything – so it’s all working perfectly.
