Ice Cream!

There was an article in last week’s New York Times Magazine by Elizabeth Weil, about a San Francisco chef who is running a new-ish ice cream parlour. Jack Godby opened Humphry Slocombe and creates all different kinds of combinations of flavours.

It got me thinking how Godby was an artist working in a popular vein and how people were lining up to try his experiments because they were food, and often times delicious, or at the very least unique and an interesting experience. I wonder if there is a way to do this kind of experimentation with theatre (or other performing arts) and have people lining up to try it.
